way out in the country
Like with furniture, its important to invest in certain wardrobe essentials. Therefore, its good to know: a) what to splurge on and what to save on; b) where and when to get deals on more expensive items; and c) where to get cute stuff on a budget.
For example, I buy all of my boots at within the first two weeks following Christmas, because Steve Madden always has a huge selection and a massive sale. T shirts, tank tops, basic long sleeved shirts – I typically get these somewhere cheap, like Forever 21. If they’re on sale, I’ll go for something from Madewell or Gap.
In an effort to illustrate just how much of an art fashion is (and to refute the mindset that its impossible to dress cute on a budget), I present to you the Target dress. Guys, if you haven’t figured it out already, Target actually has some hidden gems in its women’s clothing section.
When I went into Target a few weeks ago to get your run-of-the-mill household items, I was pulled in by this dress almost as soon as I walked in. I admit, its my favorite color and its lace (which I have a deep love for), so its destiny really. But more importantly – its cute, its comfortable, its easy to clean, and it was cheap! SCORE.
What are some of your favorite places to shop on a budget?
