holiday gift guide: the fashionista

My entire life I’ve been told that I’m difficult to shop for. Although I disagree, I must say I feel people’s pain, as I am a terrible gift giver. To make matters worse, I’m surrounded by fantastic gift givers, so the pressure is always on. If you are a poor gift giver like me, or you simply need ideas for what to get the fashionista in your life, here are some ideas:

Makeup, or any beauty product really, is a great direction to take when shopping for a girly girl. I am always pleased when I open a bag up and hidden inside the tissue is a gorgeous new lipstick shade or a new eyeshadow to try. Online stores like Sephora offer great holiday deals and gift sets as well, and there’s a wide range of prices available, depending on your budget. I also love Lush products, like their lip-scrubs and face masks.

Accessories are also a great way to go. For a higher-quality gift, Kate Spade has a great selection of earrings, wallets, and makeup bags available in the sale section. For a more moderately priced gift, Urban Outfitters and ModCloth have some great options for scarves, jewelry, and hair accessories. If you’re on a really tight budget, Forever 21 has a great accessory collection as well, and offers a lot of variety at a low price.

Finally, going with a practical & cute gift is a different direction to go in this year. Get the girl-on-the-go a S’Well water bottle for her day on the go or her trip to the gym, or a cute new mug to sip tea out of on Sunday morning (fun fact: I own this fox mug!) A notepad, calendar, or a phone or tablet case is also a great idea for someone that’s always busy. Personally, my favorite gift for my type-A friends is an adult coloring book (perfect for a little indoor stress relief while the weather is nippy).

What are you planning to get your bff this year? Leave your suggestions in the comments below!
