everything you touch turns to gold
“Nature’s first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower, but only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.”
When looking at these photos, with their beautiful scenery & warm golden light, I can’t help but remember my favorite poem by Robert Frost. I for one know that sometimes it can be difficult to look past all of the hurt & sadness in the world, but then again, I think there is a lot of truth to Frost’s words. Pain & evil exist, yes, but for the most part, beauty can be found in all walks of life if you know where & how to look for it.
For me, this outfit really embodies that bohemian, free spirited outlook. The natural hues, the lace vest, the festive skirt pattern – they’re all fun & careless, just the way a good summer outfit should be. Throw in some cowboy boots & a flower crown and you’re ready for a romp around the meadow.
