wild horses couldn’t drag me away

Gingham, white cotton, a breezy skirt…its the perfect recipe for a classic summer outfit.

I love to wear midi skirts all year round, but this one in particular just screamed summer & I couldn’t resist the festive print or the big bow in front. I chose to pair it with this ModCloth brand white button-up crop top for a clean, laid-back look with a retro feel.

When wearing all black & white, I love adding subtle pops of color to draw the eye in. For this look, a classic shade of red felt right, so I accesorized with a red purse, my red camera ring (and matching Betsey Johnson black camera earrings), and my favorite red lipstick.

These photos were taken at one of my favorite locations to wander during summer weekends and this is one of my favorite photo series to date, especially because of the awesome & unexpected guest model, Willy. I love animals and I was super excited at the opportunity to interact & pose with such a beautiful & powerful creature. It was unexpected, but I’m grateful to have had the experience.
